**FACULTY VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT**
The State University of New York, Brooklyn Educational Opportunity Center (BEOC), administered by New York City College of Technology/CUNY, offers tuition-free academic and workforce development programming to eligible New York State residents. We invite applications for two (2) full-time EOC Lecturers in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math), with emphasis on preparing learners for success in today’s digital economy.
Educational Opportunity Centers (EOC) provide academic instruction, vocational training, and support to educationally and economically disadvantaged adults. EOC Lecturers perform teaching and related faculty functions in area(s) of expertise, including student advisement, curriculum development, and activities to advance the Centers' educational goals.
The positions include teaching one or more of the following non-credit certificate or instructional areas:
+ Digital Literacy
+ Microsoft Office Suite
+ Web-Based Applications for Professional Use
+ Database Fundamentals
+ Programming & Coding (e.g., Python, JavaScript, HTML/CSS)
+ Artificial Intelligence (AI) Tools & Applications
+ Cloud Computing and Cloud-Based Platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure)
+ High School Equivalency Math and Science Preparation
Courses may be held during day or evening hours, based on program scheduling needs.
**QUALIFICATIONS**
**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS**
Bachelor's degree in area(s) of expertise, and the ability to teach successfully.
**PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS**
+ Master’s degree or higher in computer science, education, or related STEM field
+ At least three to five years of teaching or industry-related experience
+ Familiarity with instructional technology, project-based learning, and digital platforms
+ Experience integrating AI, cloud computing, or programming tools into instructional settings
+ Strong track record of working with nontraditional, multilingual, or economically underserved students
+ Curriculum development experience in non-credit or workforce training environments
**COMPENSATION**
$84,202 - $86,721. Salary commensurate with education and experience.
