Job Title: Environmental Technician Job Description + We are seeking dedicated environmental technicians to support municipal infrastructure projects in the greater Pittsburgh region. + You will conduct field investigations, condition studies on municipal infrastructure, and work on surveys and field monitoring. + Fieldwork comprises 95% of this role, with occasional overnight shifts required. Responsibilities + Work in confined spaces. + Perform laboratory and field tests to monitor the environment and investigate pollution sources, including those affecting health within manholes. + Inspect manholes to identify sewer line stoppages. Essential Skills + Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or equivalent. + 1-2 years of field experience. + Experience with manholes. + Confined space experience. + Knowledge of wastewater systems. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience in construction and environmental science. + Understanding of sewer systems. + Confined space experience is advantageous. + Experience with manholes is a plus. Work Environment + You will work primarily in the field, often in confined spaces alongside a teammate. + The role involves significant travel, comprising 95% of the time. + You will use a company vehicle and are required to wear a protective suit when entering manholes. + This position offers growth opportunities within a large civil engineering and environmental firm.
