Responsibilities include chemical handling, lab pack duties, drum movements, bulking, crushing, and general support for environmental compliance projects. This is a non-supervisory, field-based role requiring physical labor and adherence to safety and environmental regulations. Apply today and you could start as soon as this week. **As a PeopleReady associate you'll benefit from:** + Connections and experience with some of the top companies in your area + Great benefit package options + Get matched to jobs quickly. + Competitive pay and steady schedule + The ability to see your schedule and track your hours right from our easy-to-use app, JobStack! **Pay Rate:** _The pay rate for this job is $25 - $25 / hour*_ **What you'll be doing as an** **Environmental Technician** **:** + Segregate, label, mark, and package waste materials in a safe and compliant manner. + Collect, pour, transfer, consolidate, repackage, and package solid, liquid, and sludge materials. + Perform labor-intensive activities such as: + Container or drum collection + Drum bulking + Sorting compost and recyclables + Loading trucks + Transfer waste into containers of various sizes. + Provide labor support at 90-Day Hazardous Waste Pad, when applicable. + Ensure proper segregation of waste types and compliance with regulatory shipment windows. + Maintain accurate tracking logs and ensure proper container labeling. + Identify best practices to reduce waste volumes, improve operational efficiency, and generate cost savings. + Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE). + Participate in safety processes, including training, meetings, and reporting unsafe conditions or incidents. + Follow Environmental and Quality Management System (ISO 14001/9001) policies and procedures. + Maintain compliance with EPA, OSHA, and DOT regulations. **Available shifts:** Shift timings - 1st Shift (Day) **Job requirements:** + Education and Experience + Required: High school diploma or GED and 2-4 years of relevant experience. + Preferred: Associate's Degree or equivalent experience. + Certificates, Licenses, Registrations + Preferred: RCRA, TSCA, OSHA (HAZWOPER), and DOT training. + 24-hour HAZWOPER certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days). + Experience with manifesting hazardous and non-hazardous waste is a plus. + Other Skills and Abilities + Ability to work independently and as part of a team. + Strong attention to safety and regulatory compliance. + Work Environment + Frequent use of motor coordination and finger dexterity. + Regular physical effort handling objects up to 50 pounds. + Exposure to occupational risks (e.g., cuts, burns, chemicals). + Work in environments with dirt, odors, noise, and weather extremes. + Ability to perform tasks in inclement weather + Background Check Required Background check and drug screening required **Ready to take control of the way you work?** Complete our application to join the PeopleReady team today. **Please contact our Fresno, CA branch for more information:** **Branch # 3048** **Address: 1310 N.
