Responsibilities:

Reports to Environmental Manager. Lead person for energy and water conservation programs. Implementation and management of Energy Management System ( EnMS). Supervision of environmental technician, cross-functional groups and facility sustainability programs. Ensure compliant operation of rendering and other facility air treatment systems. Environmental training responsibility for the facility. Storm Water Pollution Prevention Team Leader. Required facility environmental inspections. Waste Management – recycling, solid waste, biosolids, used oil, universal waste and hazardous waste. Operation of Powered Industrial Trucks ( forklift, pallet Jack, Loader, etc.) as needed. Company will train. Environmental reporting. Participation in company safety programs and expectations. Participation in company food safety programs and expectations. Availability after-hours and weekends: 24-hour/5-6 day operation.

Experience:

Degree in Environmental Science or related field or equivalent experience. Knowledge and/or experience with Packed-Bed Scrubbers. Previous supervisory experience or program. State wastewater operator license(s) or ability to obtain license within 8 months of hiring.
