**Responsibilities**
*** $1,500 Sign on Bonus***
**What you’ll do:**
+ Cleans and disinfects patient, ancillary and public areas as assigned daily following established procedures.
+ Operates manual, battery-powered and electric equipment such as mechanical floor cleaners and vacuums. Maintains and stores all equipment in a safe, sanitary manner.
+ Collects, handles and disposes of designated waste streams and soiled linens in the prescribed manner.
+ Completes stat and routine discharge room cleans.
+ Identifies and reports work orders for maintenance/refurbishing needs.
+ Inspects EVS equipment for cleanliness and need for repair.
**As an Environmental Services Technician (EVS) at CHI Health, you’ll join a team of EVS techs who prioritize the safety of our employees, patients, and visitors by ensuring a safe and sanitized environment for all.**
**To be successful in this role, you’ll need to understand the importance of why and how we sanitize and disinfect different environments. You are in total control of your space- where process and supplies matter. You appreciate the cleanliness of our hospital, and it is a direct reflection of how we care for the people in our community.**
**We provide you with personal protective equipment (PPE) to keep you safe and while you’re providing that same level of safety to others.**

**Pay Range**
$15.00 - $20.33 /hour
