As an Environmental Services Supervisor on our facilities team, your job will be to create a comfortable and safe environment - just like our patients have come to expect. In this role, you will supervise the technical and administrative functions of the Environmental Services department, acting as a technical resource for team members. You will implement goals consistent with your assigned units and provide effective utilization of personnel, policies, and procedures in order to ensure a clean, safe, and attractive environment. **A caregiver in this position works days from 7:00AM - 3:30PM, including every 3** **rd** **weekend and two holidays per year.**
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
+ Supervise caregivers in daily operations and evaluate performance.
+ Continuously inspect assigned areas to ensure high quality cleaning and maintenance is being performed.
+ Maintain staffing levels and approve and schedule paid time off and leave requests.
+ Ensure cross coverage.
+ Coordinate and provide orientation, education and training.
+ Improve procedures and processes.
+ Analyze workflow and procedures and recommend changes, as appropriate.
+ Provide recommendations to improve speed, quality and effectiveness of the department procedures.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
+ High School Diploma or GED
+ One year of experience as a Work Leader, Team Lead, Project Manager or Supervisor OR a Bachelor's Degree
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
+ One year of experience managing direct reports
+ Environmental Services and/or housekeeping experience
+ Experience with computer programs (e.g., Excel, Word and Workday)
**Physical Requirements:**
+ Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods
+ Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment\
+ Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information
+ Ability to travel throughout the hospital system
+ Requires full body motion, including ability to perform work while lifting, pulling, pushing, bending, stooping, crouching, squatting and reaching.
+ Requires regular handling and use of disinfectants and other cleaning agents and chemicals.
+ Light Work - Exerting 11 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force frequently to move objects.
**Personal Protective Equipment:**
+ Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
**Pay Range**
Minimum hourly: $18.88
Maximum hourly: $28.80
The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires.
