Cleveland Clinic’s Environmental Services Department is consistently among the highest-performing EVS teams in healthcare, and we’re looking to add an Environmental Services Floor Technician to our team to create the comfortable and safe environment our patients have come to expect. The Environmental Services Floor Technician role is a steppingstone to other careers within Environmental Services and other departments within Cleveland Clinic. 

 

A caregiver in this position works days from 7:00AM – 3:30PM, with rotating weekend and holiday requirements. 

 

A caregiver who excels in this role will:  

Create a sanitary and safe environment that enhances the appearance of the facility.  

Clean assigned areas daily.  

Maintain hard floor surfaces through dust mopping, mopping/scrubbing, vacuuming, gum removal and buffing. 

Complete waste stream removal including general waste, recycling and infectious waste. 

 

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:  

High School Diploma or GED  

Physical Requirements:

Typical physical demands require a full range of body motion.Duties may be performed while standing and walking for the majority of the shift and include pulling and pushing of equipment.The ability to stoop, stretch and lift while performing duties is required.Requires regular handling and use of disinfectants and other cleaning agents and chemicals.Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.

Personal Protective Equipment:

Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
