Cleveland Clinic's Environmental Services Department is consistently among the highest-performing EVS teams in healthcare, and we're looking to add an Environmental Services Area Cleaner to our team to create the comfortable and safe environment our patients have come to expect. The Environmental Services Area Cleaner role is a steppingstone to other careers within Environmental Services and other departments within Cleveland Clinic. **A caregiver in this position works days from 7:30AM - 4:00PM, including rotating weekends and holidays as needed.** A caregiver who excels in this role will: + Clean patient rooms, ancillary areas, exam rooms, offices, waiting areas, public restrooms and other assigned areas. + Perform cleaning tasks using appropriate cleaning products, including wiping down surfaces and cleaning spills. + Meet organizational expectations on patient experience (HCAHPS) and patient access (total cycle time) metrics within inpatient and discharge scope. + Stock paper items and other supplies in patient rooms, exam rooms and restrooms. + Follow scripting, policies and procedures on patient isolation and all Environmental Services technical and procedural standard operating procedures. + Follow and adhere to all hospital-wide and departmental safety requirements. + Complete six months of on-the-job training to learn developmental polices and procedures, various cleaning techniques and proper use and storage of cleaning agents and chemicals. Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: + High School Diploma or GED **Physical Requirements:** + Requires full body motion, including ability to perform work while lifting, bending, stooping, crouching, squatting, and reaching. + Requires continuous walking and standing on hard surfaces. + Requires regular handling and use of disinfectants and other cleaning agents and chemicals. + Exerting 11 to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. **Personal Protective Equipment:** + Follow standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required. **Pay Range** Minimum hourly: $16.50 Maximum hourly: $20.25 The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires.
