Job DescriptionWe’re looking for an Environmental Scientist to join our team and contribute to a variety of contaminated land projects across New Zealand. This is a fantastic opportunity to take the next step in your career, working alongside experienced professionals on diverse and technically challenging projects.
How you’ll make a difference
Plan, manage and deliver contaminated land investigations for projects of varying size and complexity.Participate in fieldwork; manage subcontractors and ensure high-quality data collection and reporting.Prepare clear, concise technical reports and contribute to environmental assessments and remediation strategies.Liaise directly with clients, providing timely updates and innovative, practical solutions.Support project management tasks including invoicing, financial tracking, and overall project delivery.QualificationsThe following qualifications and experience are highly desired, but if you don’t tick all the boxes you could still be a perfect fit for this role. The qualities that help you thrive
Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, engineering, geology, or earth science3-5 years contaminated land experience within a consultancy, council, or similar environmentDemonstrated experience in contaminated land management, environmental site assessments (preliminary and detailed site investigations) and remediationStrong field skills including experience sampling and monitoring a variety of media, including soil, groundwater, surface water, sediment, soil vapour, indoor air, including the willingness to travel and undertake fieldwork in cities and rural locations across New ZealandA valid full drivers’ license is essentialAdditional Information
