Seeking an Environmental Business Development Lead in Cincinnati, OH. The individual selected for this position will be responsible for the continued growth of Construction & Remediation service offerings in Ohio and the further advancement/recognition of the firm in the marketplace. This is a strategic growth role.
The successful candidate would work across the Environmental/Infrastructure Sector (EI) in collaboration with Ohio office Practice Leaders and Market Directors. You will have responsibility for the marketing, business development, sales, and execution of consulting services which will be delivered by technical, project management, and client development personnel from offices in Ohio and surrounding states.
The position will be supported by technical, project management, and client development personnel across the EI Sector. The position may have a few direct reports who are mid-level to sr managers and subject matter experts in key service offerings. The role has been designed to minimize the direct management of personnel internally in order to maximize the ability to focus on strategic growth and development of services.
Responsibilities:
-Be responsible for prospecting for new clients and securing site assessment, remediation, and brownfield redevelopment projects in southwest Ohio and surrounding areas.
-Will serve as Sr Project Manager and Client Manager for new and existing customers, including project scoping, proposal preparation, budgeting, project accounting, report preparation, and quality assurance.
-Will be expected to achieve 50% utilization on billable projects within six months of hire and maintaining that level thereafter.
-Will be responsible for cross-selling and increasing business from accounts under management.
-Will work with other project managers and sales professionals on utilizing efficient business development strategies for new and existing customers.
-Possess strong verbal, written, presentation and excellent client management skills; demonstrated ability leading and managing complex proposals and projects; as well as being goal oriented, quality focused, and have demonstrated success with creating and fostering a team environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
-Professional or technical degree in engineering, geology, environmental science or related field. Advanced degree and state certification or equivalent preferred.
-Prefer 10+ years in managing environmental site assessment, remediation, environmental compliance or other service areas.
-Require existing client base and 5+ years direct responsibility for managing and growing existing accounts and prospecting for new customers.
-Proven track record with successful marketing, business development, business management and oversight of regional businesses.
-Strong business acumen and attributes, coupled with a commitment to TRC Values: Safety, Quality, Integrity, Creativity, Accountability, Teamwork and Passion.
-Some travel with overnight stays around Ohio and surrounding states. Occasional longer trips to other locations for regional and national company meetings and training.
-Not subject to non-compete agreement with existing employer. Prefer candidate with some loyal existing clients/accounts that may follow to new employer.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $125000.00/yr.
