Environmental Records Clerk

**Position Summary:**
The Environmental Records Clerk will maintain environmental data regarding tanks, air monitoring, wastewater, stormwater and hazardous waste. This position will prepare reports and applications for storage tank, wastewater, and hazardous waste certifications, maintaining compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
**Major Responsibilities:**
• Maintain storage tank compliance by completing and submitting registrations and related documents.
• Enter Action items and work orders for Tank Alarms and Deficiencies from inspections and testing.
• Update and maintain databases, by gathering and entering data regarding new facilities, changes to existing tank systems, facility opening/closings.
• Prepare reports and plans accurately and on time.
• Assist with Environmental reports for all locations annually, by obtaining and compiling data required by state and federal agencies.
• Support with receiving, scanning and filing environmental files and incoming mail.
• Monitor funding for projects related to the Environmental Reserve Fund
• Invoice processing through Penske’s programs (Smartsheet and work order system) or as received physically to the corporate office
• Other projects and tasks assigned by manager.
**Qualifications:**
• Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred but not required
• 2-5 years’ experience in operational or environmental compliance
• Must have proficient computer skills, especially Excel, Access, Environmental Management Software.
• Preferred operational and environmental compliance skills specifically
• Ability to complete reports and applications independently
• Ability to work efficiently and manage multiple priorities
• Must have strong communication skills, written and oral
• Willingness to work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete
