Summary This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. Responsibilities You will serve as a Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR) and is responsible for defining project requirements and developing a Statement of Work or specifications. You will manage environmental compliance facilities and programs for Marine Corps Base Hawaii (MCBH). You will provide environmental compliance program management related to tanks management, storm water management, and spill avoidance and response. You will monitor the contractor’s progress and expenditures; perform inspections; resolve technical issues; and assist in contract closeout. You will represent MCBH at conferences, seminars, and meetings at higher headquarters and other installations and businesses and organizations outside Department of Defense (DoD). Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector Managing environmental compliance facilities and programs, defining project requirements, performing inspections, and participating in the evaluation of technical proposals. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Education In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience: I have successfully completed a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree OR I have successfully completed three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent degree OR I have successfully completed an LL.M. degree that is related to the position being filled:https://www.usajobs.gov/Help/working-in-government/unique-hiring-paths/students/federal-occupations-by-college-major/ OR I have a combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience. See Required Documents for additional information. Additional Information A Cost-of-Living-Allowance (COLA) of 8.64% will be added to the stated salary. COLA is subject to change at any time. Certain incentives (such as Recruitment, Relocation or Student Loan Repayment) may be authorized to eligible selectees. A relocation incentive is generally a single payment intended to offset some of the relocation costs experienced by the selectee. A relocation incentive may be authorized. This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program. Several vacancies may be filled. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if the selectee fails to meet the pre-employment requirements, including failure to report to any of the scheduled appointments.
