Job Description

You will work with a diverse team of technical leaders across a broad range of practice areas delivering remediation consulting, design, and implementation services to our key clients. AECOM is seeking a candidate who has a technical background in the environmental investigation/remediation consulting industry, who is also a seasoned Environmental Project Manager and who would like to grow their career into assisting our California Operations with business development activities.

We are looking to hire a passionate Project Manager with experience in the technical, financial, and administrative management of environmental remediation projects.

Based in our offices in Madrid, Barcelona, or Bilbao, your main responsibilities will include:

Comprehensive project management: From the preparation and coordination of technical and financial proposals to the execution of subsurface investigation and characterization campaigns.Design and supervision: Designing investigation and site characterization campaigns, participating in the design of remediation measures, and coordinating the supervision of works, implementation, and operation of decontamination systems.Data analysis and reporting: Processing data, interpreting results, and preparing technical reports.Health and safety: Implementing health and safety requirements in all projects.Team management: Coordinating staff and preparing financial reports.Billing and subcontractors: Managing invoicing and subcontractor relationships.Client relations: Commercial management within the scope of the projects.

Qualifications

What are we looking for?

Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Earth Sciences, or Engineering (Environmental, Forestry, Mining, Agronomic, or similar).A minimum of 3 years in a project management or coordination role is essential, along with more than 8 years of overall experience in the environmental remediation consulting industry (private or public).Previous experience working on environmental remediation projects including field sampling, data analysis, report writing, task management, cost estimate and proposal development, project implementation and execution.Languages: Fluent in both English and Spanish, written and spoken.Driver’s license and availability to travel nationally as part of the role.Health & Safety: Training in occupational risk prevention and knowledge of specific software for quantitative human health risk assessment.Good to know and use GIS tools and databases.Knowledge in UNE-EN ISO 17020 standards.

Strong communication and organizational skills, with excellent written and verbal abilities, and a proactive, self-driven approach to delivering work working in a team.High attention to detail and effective time management, ensuring quality outcomes and thoroughness in all project phases.
