This includes ensuringregulatorycompliance, advancing environmental performanceand sustainability initiatives, anddriving continuous improvementaligned withISO 14001principles. This role is part of theenvironmental managementfunction,responsible forimplementing and maintainingprogramsthat protectpeople, facilities, and surrounding communitieswhile supporting operational and corporate sustainability goals. **What** **You’ll** **Do** -LeadNorth American environmentalcomplianceandmanagementprograms, ensuring adherence tofederal, state, local, and client requirements. -SupportISO14001 Environmental Management System, including audits and continuous improvement initiatives. -Lead vendor management for environmental programs across North America, ensuring contractor compliance, performance, and achievement of program or project objectives. -Managepermitting, reporting,documentation for air emissions, water discharges, and hazardous materials withmanagement.Prepare andsubmitregulatory reportsand interface with regulatory agencies as needed. -Managehazardousmaterials and waste programs, ensuringcompliancehandling, storage, labeling, and transportation.Approve hazardous waste shipmentsin accordance withclient requirements. -Review and approvechemicals,ensuringall materials are evaluated for environmental impact,regulatorycompliance, and suitabilityfor use. -Coordinate environmental due diligence for real estate transactions, includingPhase I EnvironmentalSite Assessments,Transaction Screens,permittransfers, and site transitions. -Oversee environmental data reportingby vendors, ensuring completenessandaccuracy in adherence toclient requirements. -Lead North Americanenvironmental incidentmanagementincludingresponse, documentation,root cause analysis, and corrective actionimplementation. -Review, provide guidance,and approveenvironmental impact assessments (EIAs) and support project teams with environmental and sustainability requirementsto ensure regulatory compliance and environmental stewardship. -Maintaincompliancedocumentation, training records, and audit readiness. -Develop,obtain, and manage environmental funding and budgets tosupportcomplianceandstrategic delivery ofprogramobjectives. -Identify and implement opportunities for cost savings, risk reduction, and improved environmental performance. -Serveas a subject matter expert and advisor to management, staff, and clients on environmentalissues. -Lead by example, modeling behaviors aligned with organizational values, sustainability, and responsibility. **What** **You’ll** **Need** **Education & Experience** + Bachelor’sDegree (Environmental Science, Engineering, Sustainability, or related field,preferred) with 8-10years of relevant experience in environmental management, compliance, or sustainability (or equivalent combination of education and experience). + Demonstrated experience managing environmental programs in multi-site operations such as data centers, corporate facilities, or industrial environments. **Technical Expertise** + Strong knowledge of environmentalregulations andprograms, including: + Air, water, and hazardous waste permitting and reporting + Chemical management and hazard communication + Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure (SPCC) Plans + Waste minimization, recycling,and sustainability initiatives + Environmental due diligence (ASTM E1527-21 and E1528-22 standards) + ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems and auditing practices + Demonstrated ability todevelop practical,compliant, and innovative solutions to complex environmental challenges. + Proficient in Microsoft Office and environmental data management tools. **Certifications / Training** **(Preferred)** + U.S. EPA RCRA Hazardous Waste Management + U.S. DOT Hazardous Materials Transportation (HAZMAT) Certification + Canada TDG Certification + ISO 14001 Internal or Lead Auditor training + (Preferred) OSHA 24- or 40-hour HAZWOPER Certification and 8-hour annual refresher **Skills & Competencies** + Strong program and project management, vendor oversight, and budgeting skills. + Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities. + Proven leadership ofcross-functional teamsacross regions andorganizational levels. + Analyticaland detail-oriented, with afocus on compliance,operational excellence, andenvironmentalperformance. **This position supports the achievement of organizational environmental** **management** **goals through proactive program leadership, regulatory** **expertise** **, and a commitment to operational excellence across North America.** **Equal Employment Opportunity:** CBRE has a long-standing commitment to providing equal employment opportunity to all qualified applicants regardless of race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, pregnancy, age, citizenship, marital status, disability, veteran status, political belief, or any other basis protected by applicable law. **Candidate Accommodations:** CBRE values the differences of all current and prospective employees and recognizes how every employee contributes to our company’s success.
