Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Environmental Project Manager to lead and manage various OER (Office of Environmental Remediation) and Brownfield projects across the five boroughs of New York City. This office-based role focuses on project planning, team coordination, client communication, and oversight of reporting and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
+ Develop and manage project plans, schedules, and budgets for environmental remediation projects.
+ Coordinate with internal teams, clients, and regulatory agencies to ensure project milestones are met.
+ Review and approve technical reports and documentation prepared by field staff.
+ Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and standards through documentation and reporting.
+ Lead project meetings and provide updates to stakeholders and senior management.
+ Manage project documentation and maintain organized records for audits and reviews.
Required Skills & Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Environmental Engineering, or related field.
+ 8–10+ years of relevant environmental project management experience.
+ Strong leadership and organizational skills with experience managing multiple projects.
+ Proficiency in technical report review and regulatory documentation.
+ Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Certifications
+ OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER
+ OSHA 10 or 30
+ SST Card (Site Safety Training)
Preferred Skills
+ Experience with Brownfield redevelopment projects.
+ Knowledge of NYC OER procedures and documentation.
+ Familiarity with GIS or environmental data management tools.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr.
