Job Description

AECOM Technical Services, Inc. is seeking a Environmental Planner III in Oakland, CA.

Job details:

Lead environmental planning and compliance work, and support the development of environmental documents and studies in compliance with CEQA, NEPA, and other state and federal environmental regulations.Lead environmental clearance and compliance work on roadway transportation and other infrastructure projects.Support on-call contracts including management of multiple task orders, cost proposals, tracking invoicing and budget status, administering staff approvals, and other contract administration tasks.Oversee multiple projects and task orders simultaneously within scope/budget/schedule expectations and ensure quality standards on project deliverables.Serve as Deputy PM and support internal teams, client coordination and sub-contractor coordination.Lead permitting work for agencies including United States Army Corps of Engineers, State Water Resources Control Board, Regional Water Quality Control Board, California Coastal Commission, Bay Conservation and Development Commission, and other local agencies.May telecommute.

QualificationsCandidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Planning, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering or related field and 4 years of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation. Alternatively, the employer will accept a Master’s degree in Environmental Planning, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering or a related field and 2 years of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation.

Position requires:

Technical report writing related to CEQA/NEPA compliance;Writing regulatory (federal, state, and local) permitting documents;Environmental compliance and permitting with Coastal Development Permits, United States Army Corps of Engineers Permits, or Regional Water Quality Board Permits;Coordinating CEQA/NEPA document preparation and technical studies for Caltrans projects;Preparing and overseeing the environmental planning and permitting efforts associated with transportation infrastructure;Marketing and business development;Developing and managing task and project budgets;Supporting public outreach efforts including preparation of public meeting materials and notices, and organizing and implementing virtual and in-person public meetings.
