Job Description
Position Summary:
Oversee safety and environmental management programs to ensure regulatory compliance. These programs promote employee and community safety and wellness. Additionally, they encompass training, ergonomic improvements, and safety/environmental awareness. Furthermore, they include audits/inspections, team/committee leadership, and risk/hazard analysis.
You will report to the Environmental Health & Safety Manager.
Location: Santo Domingo- Dominican Republic.
Main responsibilities:
Direct employee training in emergency response, life safety, industrial hygiene, fire and chemical hazards.Conduct safety studies and identifies and evaluates risks to health, safety and the environment.Respond to emergencies, report incidents on local and corporate platforms, conduct investigations and recommend corrective actions when there are occupational risks.Manage federal, state and local accident, safety and environmental statistical reports and indicators.Conduct accident and hazard investigations, recommend corrective actions, perform periodic EHS inspections and site audits, and prepares safety statistics reports.Maintain monitoring of legal and corporate requirements of the company ensuring compliance.Create EHS policies, standards, and procedures and implement improvements to ensure environmental and safety compliance.The Essentials - You Will Have:
Bachelor's degree in industrial Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, or another related career.Two (2) years of related experience in EHS and SAP system.Experience in Safety/Environmental Management Systems.Intermediate level of English.The Preferred - You Might Also Have:
Knowledge of local EHS regulations Law 522-06.Knowledge of ISO450001/ISO14001 Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems, Environment, Industrial Hygiene or other equivalent EHS.Knowledge (Microsoft Word, Excel (can maintain complex spreadsheets), PowerPoint).What we offer:
