Description
\n\t\t\t\t\tDevelop, implement and manage safety programs, policies and procedures.\nIdentify hazardous conditions/actions within the plant and recommend corrective measures.\nInvestigate and prepare presentations for all incidents and property losses.\nOrganize and oversee all required safety training, i.e. fork truck, lockout, new hire onboarding, etc.\nProvide safety orientation to new employees.\nConduct Management of Change on new equipment.\nProvide Supervisors/Group leaders with safety training information for weekly and monthly safety meetings.\nTrack training to ensure compliance with Corporate Regulatory Task Schedule.\nIdentify gaps in training curriculum by analyzing injury/illness data.\nManage the contractor safety program and ensure compliance.\nAssist inspection personnel from insurance carriers, OSHA, EPA, DOT, etc.\nManage all federal, state and local environmental permits and ensure compliance.\nAssist in purchasing appropriate personal protective equipment.\nPrepare monthly incident summary reports.\nSupervise maintenance of OSHA 300 log.\nSupervise safety teams.\nSupport site as safety mentor for visitors.\nFile and maintain SDS sheets.\nAssist with the administration of the workers compensation program.\nRecommend and budget for safety capital expenditure items and annual safety budget.\nManage all property/casualty insurance claims.\nPerform any other duties established by the Regional EHS Director.

\n\t\t\t\t\tDegree in Industrial Safety Management preferred.\nExcellent written and oral communication skills.\n1 - 3 years Safety Experience in an industrial setting.\nStrong organizational skills with proven ability to complete multiple tasks simultaneously.\nExtensive knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other government regulations.\nEqual amounts of time spent sitting, standing, and walking.\nEnclosed office space with daily exposure to manufacturing and warehouse environment; must be able to wear all required PPE protection.
