The Environment Health & Safety (EHS) team at Apple is growing and we are looking for an upbeat, dedicated and flexible professional to join a team committed to protecting the environment, health, and safety of our employees, customers and the global communities where we operate, while supporting our partners in their mission to develop amazing products.
Apple is looking for a collaborative, self-motivated EHS professional to support our Corporate & Retail functions. You will have technical expertise and experience managing global environmental due diligence.
**Description**
As a member of the EHS due diligence team, you will be ambassador of Apple’s Environmental Health & Safety culture, responsible for providing operational support to Environmental Program Managers and their customers. You may also work on projects that support the broader EHS program, as directed.
**Responsibilities**
+ Coordinate EHS due diligence project work, manage and track projects internally and externally.
+ Cultivate and maintain collaborative working relationships with various cross functional and external consultant teams. Setup up recurring meetings with multiple teams to manage project status and workflow.
+ Track projects status using Apple’s project management tools and provide status updates, as required, to Environmental Program Managers and other key stakeholders.
+ Organize, manage and control project documentation from various internal and external sources efficiently.
+ Manage project workflow and update project status using Apple’s internal technology tools.
+ Drive completion of EHS due diligence in support of a variety of transactions, including retail and corporate real estate deals, mergers and acquisitions, divestitures and investments.
+ Review consultant reports and ensure early recognition and communication of key EHS due diligence findings to relevant Apple teams.
+ Provide technical support related to EHS program development and implementation at existing sites, new facilities and expansions.
+ Partner with local teams to integrate environmental due diligence findings into facility operations.
+ Support corporate EHS initiatives, including EHS metrics and quarterly business reports/ activity updates.
**Minimum Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Management or a related field /in an EHS related discipline.
+ 6-8+ years of related EHS due diligence experience as a Project Manager, Engineer, or Scientist.
+ Experience managing or executing EHS due diligence assessments, including ASTM Phase I and Phase II site assessments, and limited compliance assessments.
+ Ability to schedule, run and coordinate multiple projects with competing priorities and timescales; attention to detail, and the ability to deliver project on time.
+ Ability to take on moderate travel (5-10% domestic and international)
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Masters Degree in a science or related field preferred
+ Ability to communicate effectively (written & verbal communication skills) to build strong relationships with cross functional teams within and outside of Apple. Exercise good judgment and possess the interpersonal skills needed to interact with a variety of people across multiple job functions and levels.
+ Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks concurrently with a strong sense of ownership.
+ Ability to independently complete assignments with minimal follow up.
+ High level of integrity; ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
+ Problem solving abilities with the ability to anticipate change and act efficiently.
+ Organized, resilient and flexible, react to customer demands quickly and efficiently.
+ Strong technical skills and experience in critical review of third-party reports.
+ Proficiency in Apple products and programs, such as Mail, Calendar, Numbers and Keynote, preferred.
+ In depth technical expertise in one or more of the following areas: Hazardous building materials management, soil and groundwater management and remediation, vapor intrusion evaluation, mitigation and remediation, chemical and materials management, EHS permitting, industrial hygiene, occupational health, fire and life safety systems, emergency response, seismic assessments
**Pay & Benefits**
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $137,900 and $207,300, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
