Position Responsibilities: Enhance the company's safety performance as the Safety and Compliance Director by integrating culture and compliance, mitigating risk, and promoting healthy living and safe work habits through the development and evaluation of safety programs Foster a robust culture of safety throughout the organization by promoting safety as a core value, recognizing and rewarding safe behaviors among employees, and consistently leading by example to instill a shared commitment to workplace safety Create, meticulously update, and implement comprehensive safety policies and procedures to ensure adherence to relevant laws and regulations, thereby promoting a safe and compliant work environment for all employees Manage and conduct thorough risk assessments and inspections to systematically identify potential hazards in the workplace, while developing and implementing effective strategies to mitigate these identified risks Develop and implement comprehensive safety training programs for employees that ensure they are well-informed about safety protocols and procedures, including training on proper equipment usage, emergency response actions, and hazard recognition techniques Lead detailed incident investigations for workplace accidents, injuries, and near misses, utilizing data analysis, employee interviews, and collaboration with various departments to determine root causes and implement preventive measures Monitor and analyze the financial impact of workers' compensation claims on the organization, assessing both direct costs such as medical expenses and indemnity payments, as well as indirect costs like lost productivity and administrative expenses, to develop strategic initiatives aimed at controlling costs and minimizing overall financial losses Other duties as assigned Required Education and Experience: Bachelor’s Degree with 10 plus years of related experience and 6 plus years of management experience or High School Diploma/General Education Degree (GED) with 13 plus years of specific experience and 7 plus years of management experience Preferred Education and Experience: Master’s Degree Benefits At the Reyes Family of Businesses, our Total Rewards Strategy prioritizes the holistic well-being of our employees.
