Job Description
This role involves leading a team of environmental specialists focused on remediation projects. The position requires overseeing all active projects to ensure they are completed on time, meet client expectations, and adhere to internal standards and procedures. Responsibilities also include managing proposal development and cost estimates to ensure accurate project scoping, resource availability, and profitability.
ResponsibilitiesSupervise team operations, staff training and development, performance evaluations, and equipment usage.Ensure safety compliance, service quality, and timely delivery of work.Play a key role in business development by identifying and pursuing new project opportunities.Build and maintain strong client relationships.Prepare proposals and cost estimates.Perform business and client development activities with support from the Department Manager.Prepare and execute annual business plans for the specialty service group.Oversee and manage key group metrics such as revenue growth, staff chargeability, project billing and collections, and project profitability.Develop understanding of project-related risk and be familiar with company risk policies.Lead safety efforts for the team and ensure compliance with safety rules and guidelines.Provide and lead continuous quality monitoring and improvement on projects.Ensure consistent quality standards on project and proposal delivery.Essential SkillsExpertise in environmental science, environmental engineering, and Brownfield projects.Ability to lead a team effectively.Certification or licensure in field of expertise, with the ability to obtain a license within 6 months.Professional Engineer (PE) or Professional Geologist (PG) license in Florida preferred.Experience with environmental due diligence (Phase I/II ESAs), site investigations, and remediation for various contaminants.Working knowledge of applicable ASTM Standards, FDEP rules and regulations, especially Chapter 62-780, FAC.Additional Skills & QualificationsPG, PE, CHMM, or PMP certifications are advantageous.Terracon Authorized Project Reviewer status preferred.Experience in geology, construction, engineering, civil, AutoCAD, land development, remediation, environmental compliance, soil sampling, and environmental monitoring.Familiarity with HAZWOPER, archaeology, drainage, EIT, site development, report writing, OSHA 40, wastewater, grading, and groundwater.Existing professional relationships with agency regulators, environmental attorneys, and clients.Work Environment
The work environment is primarily office-based, with frequent site visits in the North East Florida area.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $95000.00 - $125000.00/yr.
