Job Description

We are seeking a versatile Environmental Field Technician with experience in construction materials testing to support a major project in Bremerton, WA. This role is ideal for someone with experience in environmental site assessments, soil sampling, and contaminated soil management, who also understands compaction and density testing in the field.

ResponsibilitiesConduct environmental sampling and categorization of contaminated soils for offsite disposal.Perform field density and compaction testing using nuclear gauge or sand cone methods.Support environmental compliance and documentation for active construction sites.Assist with site assessments and reporting in accordance with local and federal regulations.Collaborate with geotechnical and environmental teams to ensure project specifications are met.Essential SkillsEnvironmental Site AssessmentsSoil SamplingCompaction and Density TestingExperience in Environmental Science, Geology, or related field1+ years' experience with soil compaction and density testing proceduresAdditional Skills & QualificationsExperience with Phase I/II Environmental Site AssessmentsHAZWOPER certification highly preferredExperience and familiarity with military / federal projectsBachelor's Degree in Environmental Science1–4+ years of relevant field experience in environmental or construction inspectionWork Environment

Work onsite at a large, long-term construction project at Puget Sound Naval Station in Bremerton, WA. Be part of a high-impact environmental and infrastructure project in a collaborative, safety-first environment, with opportunities for growth in both environmental and geotechnical disciplines.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $40.00/hr.
