Job DescriptionAECOM Technical Services, Inc. is seeking an Environmental Engineering in Austin, TX.
Job Details:
Work closely with project managers and other technical disciplines on all project phases to participate in delivering a variety of water and wastewater projectsConduct various engineering tasks in accordance with agreed-upon budget and schedule with limited supervision of registered professional engineersCollect and analyze data, conduct feasibility and preliminary studies, and prepare technical reports for municipal water/wastewater systemsPerform design calculations, prepare sketches, diagrams, and design drawingsPrepare technical specification sectionsUse computer software as tools for solving complex engineering problems such as process simulation and hydraulic analysisPerform construction phase services during construction for major water/wastewater facilities such as conducting site visits, reviewing shop drawings and answering RFIs (request for information)Prepare environmental documentation for permitting or regulatory program complianceDevelop construction cost estimatesCoordinate with equipment vendors, subconsultants and other team membersUp to 5% local travel to client or construction sites requiredFull-timeQualificationsCandidates must have a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field and 2 years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
Alternatively, the employer will accept a Master's degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field with no experience.
Employer will accept skills gained in pursuit of university-level degree via coursework, projects, or internships. Skills may be gained concurrently. Position requires experience in the following:
Conventional water supply and treatment processesConventional wastewater collection and treatment processesPipeline hydraulicsProject experience in Pump station designProject experience in Drainage calculations and designProject experience in Water quality analysisProject experience in Environmental site assessment/permittingTechnical writingEngineering software, including AutoCAD, ArcGIS, BioWin and SWMMAdditional InformationAll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
