Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Environmental Coordinator to join our team! In this role you will get to collaborate closely with Qualified Professionals, Project Managers and Field Supervisors.

Please note that this is not a remote position, but with potential of transitioning to a hybrid setup in the future.

The position is entry-level and requires active learning, engagement, and multi-tasking in a fast-paced consulting environment. In this position, the right candidate will learn the technical and soft skills, environmental database and data management, project management, and field programs of the environmental industry, which will serve as a steppingstone in advancing their career. Our team is looking for the right personality and attitude: eager to learn and communicate, up for challenges, curious, self-driven and motivated.

What You'll Be Doing:

The Environmental Coordinator will work on projects such as Contaminated Land Assessments and Management Programs (Phase I and II ESAs), Remediations, Excess Soil management, and other Environmental management plans and monitoring for infrastructure projects.

The responsibilities for this position are project-based tasks with administrative components including but not limited to:

Performing Phase I Searches.Drafting and reviewing borehole logs.Completing and reviewing utility locates through OneCall.Managing simpler bottle orders, equipment booking, deliveries, and permit applications to support field programs.Processing and QAQC-ing monitoring and analytical tables from a database.Supporting drafting and technical reporting.Formatting and finalizing technical letters, memorandums, reports and health and safety plans in Microsoft Word.Complete field work for learning and as required.Database and data management associated with environmental investigations, including inputting, cleaning, quality checking and presenting environmental data in reports, tables and figures.Managing end-user platforms (i.e. SharePoint) and mobile applications (i.e. Forms on Fire, Field Maps) for digital collection of environmental data.Proactively asking questions and calling external parties including cities, subcontractors and vendors to problem-solve.Working in project teams of 45 people including field personnel, project coordinators, project managers, draftspersons and technical staff using interactive, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

University degree in environmental science or engineering, earth sciences, or other related programs.Demonstration of working knowledge with Microsoft products including Word, Excel, Powerpoint, PowerBI, Outlook, and Teams applications. Skills in using styles and cross-referencing in Word and Excel equations.Relevant academic, software and work experience may also be considered as equivalent for the right candidate with experience in similar operations.Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a team.Excellent written and oral communications skills and ability to operate self-sufficiently.

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

Working knowledge of ESRI GIS software strongly preferred.Experience with data management, SQL databases, and Excel Macros preferred.Working knowledge of AutoCAD an asset.A valid driver’s license with experience in driving and a clean driving record.Demonstrated presentation skills to present information to varied audiences and advanced writing skills to prepare detailed report/materials of varying complexity.

Salary Range: $22.69 - $46.73
