Job Description:
The Environmental, Health and Safety Specialist works with Operations Leadership and associates at the Randolph location to support a strong safety and environmental culture and is responsible for ensuring the facilities and site are compliant with all OSHA, EPA, MPCA, and other Federal, and State/Local guidelines.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide subject matter expertise on Cambria safety and environmental standards and programs
Support to continuously improve the following, but not limited to, safety programs: incident reporting and investigation, emergency preparedness, hazardous communication, lock-out-tag-out, crane, forklift, industrial hygiene, confined space, fall protection, blood borne pathogen, and hearing conservation
Support to continuously improve the following, but not limited to, environmental programs: Industrial Stormwater (NPDES), RCRA SQG/LQG, SPCC, EPCRA Tier II, Registration Option D air permitting, and above ground storage tanks
Ensure the site is compliant with all OSHA, EPA, MPCA, and other Federal and State/Local guidelines, requirements
Ensure the site is compliant with Cambria safety and environmental standards by auditing all training activities
Provide frequent and routine required environmental trainings with employees
Conduct and document required Environmental inspections as applicable, follow up on findings and facilitate the implementation of corrective actions in a timely manner
Manage Industrial Stormwater sampling program
Advise, inform and generate reports for operations leadership on relevant safety and environmental initiatives
Assist with accident or near miss investigations
Facilitate the Safety Improvement Teams
Monitor inventory for safety supplies and interact with vendors
Monitor and maintain applicable chemical inventories for regulatory reporting (EPCRA Tier II, SPCC, etc).
Support annual Environmental reporting requirements
Support the ERT (Emergency Response Team) and coordinate routine ERT trainings
Conduct industrial hygiene and noise sampling as necessary
Maintain well organized record keeping system
Communicate effectively with all employees, including technical information
Keep work area clean and orderly
Be detailed oriented and capable of working independently, with guidance
Critical thinking and problem solving skills
Perform job duties safely as outlined in the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Additional duties as assigned by management
Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
Bilingual (English/Spanish)
1-3 years relevant experience
Experience with railroad regulations/operations
Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, MPCA and other Federal, State and Local regulations
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Google
Crane and forklift experience
Critical thinking and problem solving skills
Keen observation skills and the ability to multi-task
Basic math skills
Mechanically inclined
Industrial work experience
First Aid/CPR/AED Certified
Minimum Requirements:
Education: High School Diploma or GED, Bachelor's Degree in related field preferred
Experience: EHS experience in manufacturing field preferred

Lift up to 50 lbs.
Push/pull 100 lbs.

Work in an outdoor environment in all weather conditions
Walk up and down steps multiple times throughout shift
Bend over multiple times throughout shift
Task Based Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Requirements:

Cambria’s starting salary range for this position is $68,000 - $95,000. Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the target for new hires for the position. Individual pay is determined by several factors, including work location, job-related experience, and relevant education and/or training.
