Essential Responsibilities:
Leading the construction execution team or being the lead for major scopes of work on a large projectEnsures that field staff are equipped with the resources required to efficiently complete projects according to approved plans, specifications and applicable building codes while ensuring that safety regulations are strictly followedActively participates in the pre-bid and preconstruction process regarding site layout, logistics, scheduling, and workforce planningWorks collaboratively with safety personnel to ensure adherence to Ledcor’s Corporate safety programs and policiesEnsures all projects follow Ledcor’s Construction Operations Manual and lead the development of the Project Quality Program (PQP), ensuring PEP conformancePromotes the overall site safety program including subcontractor compliance with Ledcor standards, the Project HS&E plan and all applicable OH&S acts, regulations, and codesOversees the care and maintenance of internal and rental equipment on projects to maximize use while on the job sites and returns equipment to storage or the rental company when no longer requiredParticipates in the hiring and managing of hourly employees as required, and maintains, approves, and submits hourly timecards with all necessary details for job costing purposesMaintains strong relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and clients/consultants to ensure client needs are met and ensure future business opportunitiesSupports and promotes Ledcor’s core values of safety, quality, integrity, sustainability and successManages and sequence specialized trades, including those for waterproofing, air/vapor barriers, roofing, cladding/siding, and glazing (windows and doors).Oversees installations to ensure they meet engineering standards and project specifications, with a heavy focus on the continuity and compatibility of different envelope systemsCoordinates and leads inspections with envelope consultants. This often includes presiding over on-site mock-ups and performance testing for water penetration or air leakageDevelops detailed 3-week and 6-week look-ahead schedules specifically for exterior scopes to maintain the critical pathMonitors weather exposure risks daily and implement protection measures to prevent moisture damage during constructionInterprets complex architectural and envelope drawings to identify potential constructability issues or design conflicts before they reach the fieldQualifications:
6+ years of construction experience in a Superintendent position or similar with expertise in delivering high rise residential, mass timber, healthcare, data centers, aircraft hangars, aviation warehousing facilities, or other complex projectsExperience delivering complex envelope scopes (glazing/curtain wall, rainscreen cladding, roof assemblies) with strict performance standardsFamiliarity with envelope testing protocols (e.g., blower door/airtightness, water spray testing, thermography) and related standards practicesCombination of work experience in a similar role and industry related trade certification/educationExpertise in safety within the organization and knowledge of OH&S and Environmental standards and regulationsExcellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills, and the ability to work with senior managementStrong technical knowledge of modern construction practices, documents, drawings, schedules, technologies, equipment, industry practices and contract negotiationsExpertise in coaching and developing team members through constructive feedback and providing opportunities for development Ability to anticipate problems and challenges, while providing leadership in creating innovative solutions to achieve organizational objectives
Working Conditions:
Compensation
$98,400.00 - $135,300.00This is the expected base pay range for this role. Individual base pay will be determined based on a variety of factors including experience, knowledge, skills, education and location.
