Rite-Solutions, Inc. is currently seeking skilled and motivated candidates for Entry to Mid-level Software Developers to support on-site at NUWCDIVNPT in Newport, RI. Position requires US Citizenship and an active Secret-level security clearance with the US Government.\n

Duties and Responsibilities:\n\nCollaborate with team to understand, create, and\/or modify applications using technologies such as C++ (Linux), Java, MATLAB, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and SQL.\nWillingness to be actively involved in all aspects of software development life cycle from requirements definition and maintenance to testing, troubleshooting, and customer support in addition to software development responsibilities.\nAbility to design and implement within a team environment with minimal direction.\nCommunicate regularly with team lead and customer to ensure effective work partnerships.\n\n

Requirements:\n\nBS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technology field and zero (0) to five (5) years of experience OR a BS engineering degree and two (2) to six (6) years of software development experience in a professional environment.\nComfortable working full-time in a secure lab environment.\nDesire to be involved in all aspects of the software development life cycle.\nStrong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.\nEffective written and verbal communication skills.\nAble to work and thrive in both individual and team-based development environments.\nExperience with development under Linux-based systems preferably with C++.\nFamiliar with Linux shell scripting.\n\n

Skills of Interest:\n\nExperience with Docker.\nExperience with Continuous Integration using GitLab or Jenkins.\nFamiliar with common IDE's such as VS Code and Eclipse.\nFamiliar with JIRA and Confluence.\nExperience with production life cycle support.\nExperience with JavaScript, Java, HTML, and CSS.\nFamiliar with object-oriented software development practices.\nFamiliar with agile and\/or traditional software development life cycle (SDLC) approaches.\n\n
