Job Description

As a Technologist, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care by explaining procedures and processes to patients. You will maintain a safe, healthy, and professional work environment, ensuring the quality and accuracy of x-ray images. Additionally, you will perform medical assistant duties, including taking vital signs, recording health history, and managing electronic medical records.

ResponsibilitiesExplain procedures and processes to patients.Maintain a safe, healthy, and professional work environment.Ensure the quality and proper identification of x-ray images.Maintain required documentation pertaining to x-ray imaging.Perform medical assistant duties such as taking vital signs, recording health history, and managing electronic medical records.Essential SkillsKnowledge of medical terminology.Proficiency in medical record management.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite.Understanding of radiation safety and imaging techniques.Experience with Epic EMR systems.Strong patient care skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsHigh School diploma or equivalent.Experience in both front and back office settings.Customer service skills, particularly in handling upset patients.Experience with Advanced MD is advantageous.Work Environment

This position offers a flexible schedule of 32-40 hours per week, including Monday to Friday and every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday from 8 AM to 4 PM). Working a weekend results in a day off during the week. The environment is fast-paced and requires thick skin as both patients and staff can be demanding. The role is based in an urgent care setting, necessitating excellent customer service skills. The position involves lifting a minimum of 25 lbs., pushing and pulling a minimum of 50 lbs., and standing for at least 6 hours a day. Expect to undergo Epic training on the first day to gain computer access, with initial days spent at the front desk before transitioning to clinical duties.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $43.00 - $44.00/hr.
