Entry Level Lab Technician
Job Title: Research Lab TechnicianJob Description The Research Lab Technician will provide support to scientists, engineers, and research teams on a daily basis. This position assists in daily lab operation activities and research & development projects to meet development requirements within corporate timelines. Responsibilities + Prepare reagents and/or media. + Load/unload samples from small scale machinery and equipment. + Load/unload and operate autoclave. + Clean lab glassware. + Clean and maintain lab equipment. + Manage inventory and stock lab supplies. + Perform other duties as assigned. Essential Skills + Record keeping and organizational skills. + Adherence to safety procedures. + Experience with batch record preparation and analysis. + Previous lab experience. + Good written and verbal communication skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Biology, Chemistry, or a related field. + 0 to 2 years of experience in a lab environment. + Ability to follow instructions, learn quickly, and adhere to standard operating procedures. + Commitment to safety and quality. + Proficient in using spreadsheets and handheld electronic batch record software. + Ability to work well in a team environment. Work Environment This position is set in a cross-functional lab environment, characteristic of a start-up, with the bulk of manufacturing done in Europe. The company is focused on displacing traditional materials in a more sustainable way for brick and cement production, aiming to significantly reduce carbon emissions. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
