Entry Level Geotechnical Engineer - FY2026
Jacobs is seeking an Entry-Level Geotechnical Engineer to join our Transportation team in Bellevue, WA, working on projects that bring innovative solutions to our clients’ challenges locally and worldwide. You’ll work with the Survey Manager, survey analysts and field surveyors to gather, register and provide topographic and site boundary solutions to active projects in the region. You’ll have the opportunity to learn and perform all levels of geospatial activities, from field to finish; data collection to mapping to topographic (DTM) delivery. You’ll be accountable for schedule and technical quality of challenging engineering tasks, as you gain familiarity with the client’s expectations, scope, budget, and schedule. You’ll be joining a multi-discipline, highly interactive team, using the latest technologies including Drone-guided LiDAR; 3D laser scanning; point cloud development and analysis along with a host of Trimble products and solutions. You’ll be surrounded by expert mentorship opportunities to help you thrive in your new career.  Working together, we’ll help you grow and pursue what fulfills you so that we can make impacts on the future - big and small, global and local.  * Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering with a focus in Geotechnical Engineering or Geotechnical Engineering, * Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and geotechnical design software Ideally, you’ll also have: * PhD in Civil Engineering or Geotechnical Engineering * Engineer in Training (EIT) or ability to obtain within 6 months. * Previous internship in geotechnical evaluations soil and rock classification, design analysis of foundation and ground retention systems * Knowledge of AutoCAD Civil3D and/or Microstation 11i, Revit, and Sketchup * Authorization to work in the country of employment without sponsorship Jacobs is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
