Join us. **Job Description** **AECOM** is seeking an **Entry-Level Environmental Scientist** to be based in our **Denver, Colorado** office. This position will support our EHS & Air team within our Environment business line. _This position could start ASAP._ This is an entry-level position in AECOM’s Environment Business Line within the Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Technical Practice Area. The Environmental Scientist will work under supervision of a project manager or senior level team member on a variety of EHS projects, including but not limited to environmental compliance plans, environmental permitting, environmental site assessments, and subsurface investigations. The responsibilities of this position may include, but are not limited to: + Work within our Environment business line as part of our EHS team. + Assist with gathering and analyzing environmental data in both the field and office settings. + Assist in the preparation of investigation reports, assessments, permitting, and drawings. + Interpret and record data, conduct analyses, compare findings to relevant studies and local, state and federal regulations to ensure compliance. **Qualifications** **Minimum Requirements:** + Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Chemistry, or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education. + Valid U.S. Driver’s License required to visit project sites, clients, and other AECOM offices. + As a condition of employment, selected candidate must pass a Motor Vehicle Records review and a substance abuse test. + Due to the nature of work, US citizenship is required. **Preferred Qualifications:** + ​Strong technical background. + Good interpersonal and communication skills, comfortable meeting with clients, colleagues, and sub-contractors alike. Excellent written and verbal skills. + Willingness and ability to learn and rapidly master new tasks. + Strong research and report writing (including web-based research). Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel). + Strong quality and time management. Solid attention to detail and thorough approach to work. + 40-hour HAZWOPER training and 8-hour refresher training, as applicable. **Additional Information** + Relocation assistance is not available for this position. + This position requires a hybrid work schedule which includes office work in **Denver, Colorado** . The selected candidate must be available to work in **Denver, Colorado** on a scheduled basis. + Candidate will submit to medical surveillance screening upon hire. Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location.
