Job DescriptionAECOM is hosting an exclusive, invitation-only hiring event in Boston on November 19-20, 2025 . This is a great opportunity to learn and connect with AECOM for career opportunities starting Spring/Summer 2026.
The event kicks off on Wednesday evening with a networking mixer , where you can hear from AECOM staff about various projects, career paths, and the company itself. You’ll also have the chance to meet other students, recent graduates, and AECOM professionals from across our business lines.

AECOM is seeking an Entry-Level Environmental Engineer to be based in our Boston, MA, Chelmsford, MA, or Providence, RI office. This position will support our Remediation team within our Environment business line.
This position is expected to begin June 2026, but that date is flexible.
Job Overview:
The Entry-Level Environmental Engineer will serve as a team member in the office and the field, assisting project and program management with design and implementation of soil, groundwater, sediment and surface water remediation programs, data analysis, remediation construction and treatment system design, and report preparation. This role is approximately 60% field and 40% office.
Our teams work on complex remediation projects, pulling the right resources from across the company to support project needs. By joining our team, you will have the opportunity to work on diverse projects that will challenge you technically while giving you the opportunity to work with experienced colleagues and subject matter specialists in a variety of areas. Together, these opportunities will aid in your growth in this industry.
The job responsibilities of this position will include but are not limited to:
Site visits at industrial, federal, commercial, and municipal client facilities
Data collection and analysis for environmental compliance and sustainability
Environmental sampling (e.g., soil, sediment, groundwater, stormwater, wastewater, air, and hazardous waste)
Development of technical memoranda and reports
Completion of treatment system operations and maintenance (O&M) and environmental reporting forms
Building analytic and engineering design skills under the supervision of an experienced engineer
Preparation of calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, and final working drawings under the supervision of an experienced engineer
Use of computer software (e.g. CAD, GIS, data analysis tools) as a tool for solving basic engineering problems
Performing work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule under supervision
Local travel is likely and U.S travel possible and project dependent
Field work in locations as appropriate (approximately 60%)
QualificationsMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
BA/BS in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering or related field + 0 years of related experience and/or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or educationValid US Driver’s License and as a condition of employment must pass the AECOM Motor Vehicle screeningDue to the nature of work, U.S. Citizenship is requiredTravel is required for this positionPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
