**Your role and responsibilities**
As an Entry Level Designer, you play an important role in supporting our deal teams. A deal team prepares and submits tenders, bringing together expertise from sales, consulting, and delivery to create a competitive proposals. You help them translate complex stories, strategies, and solutions into clear and compelling visual communication. You work on a wide range of deliverables such as pitch decks, storyboards, infographics, concept visuals, sketches, and visual systems for our bids.
You work within a multidisciplinary design team alongside UX designers, UI designers, visual storytellers, and brand designers. You are given the space to grow, gain exposure to different design disciplines, and develop yourself through coaching, training, and hands-on experience.
The role will involve:
Visualizing bids and strategies

Translating concepts and ideas into clear visuals that help teams tell their story.

Creating infographics, visual frameworks, and supporting visuals for bid presentations.
Design support for deal teams
*
Providing visual support throughout the entire bid process.
*
Collaborating with bid managers, consultants, and strategists to determine the right visual approach.
Storytelling and concepting
*
Creating sketches, wireframes, and rapid visual explorations for pitches.
*
Helping to develop strong narratives and visual flows.
Working within the broader IBM design chapter
*
Collaborating with UX, UI, brand, and visual storytelling colleagues.
*
Contributing to design system elements, templates, and visual standards.
*
Supporting internal showcases, assets, and marketing communications.
**Required technical and professional expertise**
• Exposure to Visual Design Principles: Familiarity with leveraging research insights to inform design decisions and creating visual experiences that resonate with users and the market.
• Understanding of Visual Formats: Knowledge of transforming structural information into visual formats that make data accessible and actionable, including the strategic use of color, tone, layout, composition, imagery, typography, interactions, and motion.
• Experience with Design Tools: Proficiency in using design tools to create compelling imagery and visual representations that bring ideas to life.
• Familiarity with Accessibility Design: Understanding of designing for accessibility to accommodate diverse audiences and maintaining visual consistency and unity in the overall experience and the brand's philosophy.
• Exposure to Brand Design Language: Familiarity with harmonizing user and market insights with the brand's design language to create cohesive visual experiences.
**Preferred technical and professional experience**
Required Technical And Professional Expertise
* A creative mindset and a solid sense of layout, typography, color, and composition.
* Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and possibly Figma.
* A strong portfolio with visual explorations, school projects, or initial work experience.
* Interest in storytelling, branding, and UX/UI principles.
* Ability to collaborate well within a multidisciplinary team.
* Strong communication skills and a proactive attitude.
* Ability to work in dynamic environments with tight deadlines and frequent context switching.
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
* Basic knowledge of motion design, prototyping, or 3D.
* Experience in creating pitch decks or presentations.
* Affinity with business and technological environments.
* A passion for innovative ideas, coupled with the ability to understand and assimilate different points of view.
* Effective interpersonal skills with ability to collaborate and work with individuals, strengthening relationships to achieve win-win solutions.
