Join us. **Job Description** AECOM is seeking a motivated **Entry Level** **Civil Engineer** to join our **Building and Places Division** in Atlanta, Georgia, with a specialization in **fueling system infrastructure** . This internship provides an excellent opportunity for students or approaching graduates to gain hands-on experience in the design and delivery of complex fuel system projects, including facilities for receipt, storage, transfer, and distribution of aviation jet fuel, diesel fuel, ethanol, and motor gasoline. _This position is expected to begin as soon as possible._ **The responsibility of this position includes, but are not limited to:** + Assist with the design and development of civil engineering components for fueling system infrastructure under the supervision of senior engineers. + Support the preparation of site layouts, grading plans, stormwater management, and utility designs related to fuel system projects. + Perform engineering calculations and analysis using industry-standard software tools + Create and modify technical drawings, plans, and specifications using AutoCAD and other relevant software + Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project goals are met efficiently and effectively + Participate in project meetings and contribute ideas for problem-solving and process improvements + Assist in the preparation of reports and other technical documents + Stay updated on industry trends, codes, and regulations relevant to civil engineering projects + Support the development and implementation of quality control measures + Contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering processes and methodologies **Qualifications** **Minimum Requirements:** + **Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering** or a related field required. + Due to the nature of the work, U.S. Citizenship is required for this role. **Preferred Qualifications:** + Familiarity with AutoCAD and AutoCAD Civil 3D Design or similar applications. + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). + Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. + Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment. + Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. + Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies. + Basic understanding of civil engineering principles and practices. + Ability to travel domestically or internationally. + E.I.T. (Engineer-in-Training) certification, achieved through passing the FE exam, strongly preferred. **Additional Information** + Relocation assistance is not available for this position. + Sponsorship for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this position. Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications.
