Job Title: Entry Level Accountant (Accounts Payable)

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing vendor payments, ensuring the accuracy of financial documentation, and resolving discrepancies. Responsibilities

Monitor vendor discount opportunities and ensure timely payments.Verify federal ID numbers for accurate record-keeping.Schedule and prepare checks for vendor payments.Resolve purchase order, contract, invoice, or payment discrepancies and documentation issues.Ensure credit is received for outstanding memos.

Essential Skills

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business AdministrationProficiency in accounts payable processes, including invoice processing and purchase order reconciliation.Strong skills in Microsoft Excel for data management and analysis.Experience with coding, accounting, and invoicing procedures.Familiarity with three-way matching for financial accuracy.Experience paying at least 500 invoices weekly.Proficient in using Microsoft Outlook for effective communication.Strong vendor communication skills via email and phone.

Work Environment

The Accounts Payable team consists of 42 members, including 1 manager, 3 supervisors, and 8 leads. Each lead supervises a team of approximately 6 people. This is a fully onsite role, and during the initial training period of 2 to 3 weeks, you will need to be available from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm. After training, you can choose an 8.5-hour shift starting as early as 6:00 am or as late as 8:30 am, with a mandatory 30-minute lunch break. The company is committed to employee development, with many leaders having advanced from entry-level positions.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lewisville, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
