Boeing Defense & Space (BDS) is hiring an Entry-Level or Associate Product Review Engineer (Liaison Engineer) to join the Patriot Advanced Capability 3 (PAC-3) team located in Huntsville, AL. This engineer will perform/support troubleshooting, Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) technical analysis and provide solutions to non-conforming products. This position will work directly with cross functional and production engineering teams to meet production program objectives.

Boeing Huntsville has multi-year contracts to develop, manufacture, and test the Patriot Advanced Capability-3 (PAC-3) missile seeker and future improvements. These contracts are driving significant, long-term growth for the PAC-3 engineering team on the Huntsville campus.

Position Responsibilities: 

Applies basic knowledge of Boeing design and/or engineering principles to develop interim or final engineering solutions to product/process issues throughout the production lifecycle

Analyzes, conducts root cause analysis and develops dispositions for design non-conformances

Applies engineering principles to research technical, operational and quality issues to develop interim and final engineering solutions

Provides written dispositions for routine design non-conformances

Participates in Material Review Boards

Represents the engineering community in the production environment, providing lineside support

Recommends simple non-destructive test procedures, tools, standards

Ensures supplier and build partner compliance with Boeing standards

Develops and implements product/process improvements

This position may require shift flexibility, based on business needs

Must be able to work weekends and holidays as needed, based on business needs

Non-standard work week options may also be utilized to meet business objectives

Shift:

This position is for B (2nd) shift. (B Shift: M-Th; 4x10 - Start 4pm)

Shift may be eligible for a shift differential

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret clearance Post Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience):

Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), computer science, engineering data science, mathematics, physics or chemistry

Knowledge of repair concepts and methodologies including standard repair processes, component repair concepts, structural and composite repair procedures, and basic electrical repair procedures, and basic system repair processes

Experience with Material Review Board / Liaison Engineering (MRB / LE) Authority (including participating in Material Review Board activities related to aircraft/component/system/circuit card repairs)

Must be willing to work variable shifts, including weekends and overtime

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills & Experience):

Experience gathering data and performing a Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA)

Aerospace experience, fabrications, manufacturing, and/or additive manufacturing experience

Production engineering experience with relevant technological knowledge

Experience in solving simple to complex problems

Electrical/mechanical system knowledge, troubleshooting, fault isolation, and repair methodology

Knowledge of circuit card manufacturing, including Selective Solder and SMT

Functional system level and component level testing

Typical Education/Experience:

Level 1: related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience

Level 2: 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience

Summary pay range:

Entry-Level (Level 1): $63,750 - $86,250

Associate (Level 2): $73,950 - $100,050
