Entra ID Security Engineer

The Entra ID Security Engineer is an operationally focused position with the goal of ensuring secure operations of our IAM platforms like Entra ID and maintaining their compliance to internal and external regulations. The main responsibility is operation of the IAM platforms and related services according to our internal service management procedures which are based on the ITIL framework. Related tasks include incident handling, request handling, change management, knowledge management as well as access management.

In addition, the position covers documentation of our processes and environment for internal and external audiences, development as well as modernization and updating of proprietary services/automations/integrations, definition of standards for collaboration with other parties in the IAM area, support of projects and consulting of users across the organization.

A qualified candidate has extensive knowledge about IAM processes, tools and ideally relevant regulations such as GxP. They will work closely with internal stakeholders such as our IAM capability team focused on development and engineering, workplace teams, our internal service management organization, other team members as well as external service providers.

 

Key Tasks & Responsibilities:

Operates IAM solution Microsoft Entra IDOperates proprietary services, automations and integrations developed on Azure and AWSFollows internal service management procedures as well as internal and external regulations  and ensures compliance in day-to-day workMaintains IAM solutions and proprietary servicesCreates and maintains internal, service desk and user documentationSupports the standardization of service operation and the handover of standard tasks to service desk as L1 support and externally provided content managementSupports in projects and ensures a smooth takeover into operationsSupports development of new proprietary services/automations/integrationsConsults internal stakeholders in properly utilizing IAM tools, e.g., application enrollment and ensuring the principle of least privilegeWorks with IT service providers, currently operating AD, ADFS, AAD ConnectParticipates in a rotating on-call duty (every 6-7 weeks for one week at a time)Performing other related duties as assigned to meet departmental and company objectives

Qualifications & Competencies (education, skills, experience):

 

Bachelor’s degree in computer science/business informatics or comparable technical or university education, ideally with a focus on IT/IT securityThree years of experience working in the IAM area ideally with Microsoft Entra ID (former Azure AD)Experience working in IT operationsExperience with scripting, software development or web development preferably using PowerShell or PythonITIL Knowledge in processes (Incident, Problem, Change & Request Management) and tools (ServiceNow) is preferredExperience working with Microsoft Azure, AWS or GCP cloud services is of advantageExperience working in a regulated environment (e.g. GxP) is of advantageExperience working with agile methodology such as SCRUM is of advantageExperience working with Azure DevOps is of advantageHighly proficient in spoken and written EnglishStrong communication skills and user orientationQuick learner with proven problem solving as well as planning and organizing skillsProactive and self-motivated individual strong in teamwork
