Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

Maintaining the costume shop and keeping it cleanAltering preexisting costumes as well as building new onesWork with the wardrobe supervisor and entertainment manager to style shows and charactersCreating character designs for a wide variety of events, seasons, and showsMust be able to complete laundry and cleaning tasksMaintain and fix costumes as they occur efficientlyMaintain inventory of costumes and materialsMight be pulled to help assist shows with quick changes, repairs, or other show needs if necessary

Job Requirements:

Preferred to be able to work flexible hours including weekends and holidaysPreferred to be able to work both AM or PM shiftsPreferred to be able to work beyond 8 hours per day if required (peak seasons only)Must be self-motivated and able to work by yourselfMust have previous job experience and/or trainingMust be able to properly use an industrial sewing machine and sergerMust be able to make alterations on clothingMust be able to build costumes from a patternMust have previous job experience and/or trainingAbility to make patterns preferredMust present design ideas and source materials if asked to do soMust work under pressure and with tight deadlinesPreferred experience in maintaining and styling wigsPreferred experience in building props, painting, and dying a variety of materialsMust take critiques and alter designs if asked to do so
