Enterprise Solutions Architect Ethos Veterinary Health

Job Summary:

The Enterprise Solutions Architect role is a key member of the Infrastructure & Cloud Transformation team. This organization consists of engineers, technical personnel and vendor partners that design, implement and support Ethos Veterinary Health’s Information Technology organization. This position will play a critical role in the adoption of standards and patterns for technology implementation. You will provide design leadership, with the direction of tthe Lead Enterprise Architect and IT Management, throughout the architectural development cycle for complex, transformational, greenfield architectural and implementation projects across various domains, such as:

Cloud architectureEnd-user infrastructureDatacenter architectureVirtualization architectureNetwork and voice infrastructure and servicesMicrosoft365 and related cloud servicesMicrosoft on-premise servicesVirtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI)Identity and Access Management (IAM)Hospital IT Infrastructure Architecture

You will be involved in acquisitions, integrations, and divestitures, ensuring alignment and integration of technology infrastructure solutions. You will be a key contributor to the technology infrastructure strategy and roadmap, and a trusted advisor to senior

management and stakeholders.


Responsibilities:

Contribute to the design, development, and implementation of enterprise-wide technology infrastructure solutions, ensuring alignment with business objectives and architecture principles.Provide architectural guidance and technical leadership to project teams and SMEs, ensuring adherence to best practices, standards, and methodologies.Own the technical delivery of complex implementations, ensuring quality, timeliness, and budget compliance.Create and maintain a feedback loop from Operations and Support teams for continuous improvements to designs and implementations.Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders, vendors, and partners to understand business requirements, identify opportunities, and propose solutions.Conduct research and analysis of emerging technologies, trends, and industry best practices, and evaluate their applicability and feasibility for the organization.Contribute to the technology infrastructure strategy, roadmap, and own the development and maintenance of the organization’s enterprise architecture framework and governance.Support the acquisition, integration, and divestiture processes, ensuring alignment and integration of technology infrastructure solutions.Mentor and coach junior architects and engineers; and foster a culture of innovation and collaboration within the technology infrastructure organization.

Education, License and Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field or 10+ years of equivalent proven working experience in the fieldMinimum 10 years of experience in technology infrastructure architecture, design, and implementation, with at least 5 years in a senior or lead role.Individual must live in North America.Individual must be willing to travel as necessary (up to 25%) to training, team meetings, and as projects require.Individual must have a personal work location that allows for uninterrupted audio and video calls.Individual’s personal work location must have consistent and reliable Internet connectivity.

Skills and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience.Proven experience in leading complex architectural projects across multiple domains.Experience with current orchestration and automation technologies.Proven experience in supporting acquisitions, integrations, and divestitures, ensuring alignment and integration of technology infrastructure solutions.Proven experience in delegation and leadership of multiple SMEs, with an ability to delegate and coordinate others to accomplish goals.Strong knowledge of and experience with various technology infrastructure platforms, tools, and frameworks, such as AWS, Azure, VMware, Citrix, Cisco, Microsoft, etc.Strong knowledge of and experience with various architecture methodologies, frameworks, and standards, such as TOGAF, Zachman, ITIL, COBIT, etc.Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with an ability to communicate effectively with senior management and stakeholders.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with an ability to evaluate complex situations and propose solutions.Strong project management and organizational skills, with an ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.Certifications in relevant technology infrastructure and architecture domains are preferred but not required.Healthcare industry experience, veterinary or human, is preferred but not required.Adaptability—Maintaining effectiveness when experiencing major changes in work responsibilities or environment; adjusting effectively to work within new work structures, processes, requirements, or cultures.Communication—clearly conveying information and ideas through a variety of media to individuals or groups in a manner that engages the audience and helps them understand and retain the message.Managing Work—effectively managing one’s time and resources to ensure that work is completed efficiently.Quality Orientation—Accomplishing tasks by considering all areas involved, no matter how small; showing concern for all aspects of the job; accurately checking processes and tasks; being watchful over a period.Work Standards—setting high standards of performance for self and others; assuming responsibility and accountability for successfully completing assignments or tasks; self imposing standards of excellence rather than having standards imposed.

The base salary range for this full-time position is $145,000-$165,000. Our salary ranges are primarily determined by role, level, and location. The range provided for each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. The Company offers competitive compensation along with a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision benefits, vacation, sick leave, 401(k), and more depending on location.
