Enterprise Risk Program Analyst - VP
U.S. Personal Banking (USPB) is a major line of business at Citi. The In-Business Credit & Franchise Risk Organization within USPB is responsible for managing the credit and franchise risk of the USPB business, including Enterprise Risk Program execution for non-financial (operational and compliance) risks. The Head of In-Business Credit & Franchise Risk reports to the CEO of USPB. One of the groups within In-Business Credit & Franchise Risk Organization is Enterprise Risk and Balance Sheet Management. This group is responsible for executing Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) programs including Risk Identification, Risk Appetite & Limits, New Activities/Product Risk, ERM Risk Monitoring and framework execution. Additionally, this group is pivotal for In-Business Balance Sheet Management, focusing on USPB Capital Resource Management, Recovery & Resolution planning, and Tangible Common Equity (TCE) analytics. This role is part of the Enterprise Risk Management Program Team. The Vice President (VP) of the Enterprise Risk Management Program Team will support the quantitative analysis and qualitative assessment and execution of key Citi Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Program requirements, including Risk Identification, Product Risk, Risk Appetite, Key Risk Indicators and Limit and Threshold Management. This is a strategic professional who stays abreast of developments within the non-financial risk (operational and compliance) field and contributes to directional strategy of enterprise risk program execution. Requires basic risk/control and non-financial (operational, compliance) risk awareness. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to guide, influence and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas and occasional external stakeholders. **Key Responsibilities** + Execution of program-level requirements within Citi Enterprise Risk policies, technology and tools, including Risk Identification, Risk Appetite, Product Risk and non-financial key risk indicators / limits. + Monitor and analyze USPB’s non-financial risk (Operational and Compliance) landscape to identify the businesses’ most material and emerging risks + Assist with the quantification of USPB’s non-financial material risks through Scenario Analysis design and execution, including ideation and execution + Partner with key stakeholders across USPB 1st and 2nd Lines of Defense to establish risk appetite levels across Operational and Compliance Risk categories, including key metrics and measures + Perform periodic assessments against USPB’s stated risk appetite, including the quantitative and qualitative analysis of key factors such as: Quantity of Risk, Quality of Risk Management, Aggregate Risk and Direction of Risk + Engage with key USPB stakeholders to document management actions to address any identified control weaknesses and/or to breaches to overall non-financial risk appetite + Partner with key USPB stakeholders to develop and monitor a robust inventory of non-financial risk metrics and key risk indicators that provide important insights into the overall health and performance of USPB’s non-financial risk profile, including data gathering, calculation, tool value maintenance and reporting + Investigate and assess the root-cause of metric breaches and develop documented remediation plans to address identified weaknesses + Analyzes a multitude of scorecards/performance management tools in an attempt to identify operational and compliance risk trends and mitigate exposure (risk/financial/regulatory) + Support USPB’s risk assessment of individual consumer banking products, including credit cards, mortgage and retail bank + Develop and maintains relationships across the business and Lines of Defense to better understand and deliver customer requirements by responding to changes in the internal and external business environment + Appropriately assess non-financial (operational and compliance) risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency. **Qualifications** + 9 – 10 years of relevant experience + Outstanding communication and influencing skills through all levels of the organization and with external partners and vendors + Ability to perform quantitative and qualitative analysis of complex non-financial risk data, including operational losses, controls, issues, metrics, regulatory exam and audit results + In depth knowledge of Retail Banking, Mortgage, and/or Credit Card Operational processes and technology platforms + Understanding of the regulatory and compliance risk environment facing large consumer banking financial institutions + Ability to effectively communicate complex topics to a broad audience + Detailed oriented with analytical skills, as the role requires a large amount of data manipulation and presentation + Expert in Microsoft Office Tools + Broad understanding of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and current tooling capabilities **Leadership Competencies** + Ability to see the ‘big picture’ and embrace a culture of continuous improvement and change + Efficiently solves complex, ambiguous problems / situations + Collaborative work style;
