A global consulting leader is seeking a seasoned Enterprise Data Architect to join their team in a high-impact role focused on large-scale data strategy and architecture design across financial services and insurance clients. This is a senior-level opportunity for someone who thrives in complex enterprise environments, excels in client-facing engagements, and brings deep expertise in modern data platforms, architecture frameworks, and cloud technologies.
Overview:
This position will play a pivotal role in designing enterprise data and analytics solutions that drive business transformation. You’ll partner closely with business and technology stakeholders—internally and client-side—to shape data strategies, define architectures, and lead solution design for large-scale, multi-year initiatives. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable with hands-on architecture work and high-level strategic conversations with C-level executives.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Lead the design and roadmap for enterprise-wide data and analytics architectures. Engage senior client stakeholders to articulate architecture strategy and value proposition. Architect and implement large-scale data platforms using commercial and open-source technologies. Drive solution development across cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP). Lead data modeling and architecting efforts using techniques like dimensional modeling, data vault, and data warehousing best practices. Deliver platform engineering strategies to support analytics and data product teams. Leverage technologies such as Databricks, Snowflake, Talend, dbt, and virtualization tools to deliver scalable solutions. Support pre-sales and business development by shaping strategic data transformation opportunities and contributing to proposals. Collaborate on internal and client-facing architecture reviews to ensure best practices and alignment with business goals. Drive multi-year digital transformation roadmaps and enterprise data strategies. Work closely with client CXOs and Data & Analytics leaders to build data-driven enterprise capabilities.What We’re Looking For:
18+ years of overall experience, with 12+ years in Data & Analytics architecture and solutioning. Proven track record of architecting large-scale data solutions in financial services or insurance sectors. Deep understanding of enterprise data architecture patterns, data governance, and emerging trends. Strong background in cloud-native data solutions, with 2–3+ years of recent cloud architecture experience. Hands-on experience leading data modernization and platform transformation efforts. Expertise in data modeling, data warehousing, and analytics tooling (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks, dbt). Executive presence and ability to engage with senior stakeholders, including CIOs, CDOs, and business unit leaders. Experience in pre-sales, consulting engagements, and shaping multi-million-dollar data opportunities is a strong asset. Prior experience in a CDO/CDAO or equivalent leadership role is considered a plus.Soft Skills & Leadership:
