Who We Are

At Kyndryl, we design, build, manage and modernize the mission-critical technology systems that the world depends on every day. So why work at Kyndryl? We are always moving forward – always pushing ourselves to go further in our efforts to build a more equitable, inclusive world for our employees, our customers and our communities.

The Role

Role Overview

We are seeking a senior Enterprise Architect with deep specialization in Microsoft Azure to lead enterprise-scale cloud and hybrid-cloud transformations. This role is designed for a strategic technologist who can align business strategy, enterprise architecture, and Azure platform capabilities to drive measurable transformation outcomes.

The Enterprise Architect will define Azure-first enterprise architectures, guide clients through hybrid cloud and legacy modernization journeys, and provide architectural leadership across large, complex transformation programs. Acting as a trusted advisor to senior executives, you will shape cloud strategy, operating models, and roadmaps while ensuring architectural governance and delivery excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Enterprise Architecture & Strategy

Partner with business and IT executives to understand enterprise strategy, operating models, and transformation objectives.

Define enterprise-wide Azure cloud strategy, aligned with business priorities and industry best practices.

Develop current-state, target-state, and transition architectures across applications, infrastructure, data, and security domains.

Establish and govern architecture principles, standards, and reference architectures aligned to TOGAF, Azure Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF), and Well-Architected Framework.

Azure & Hybrid Cloud Architecture

Architect Azure-centric hybrid cloud solutions, integrating on-premises platforms with Microsoft Azure.

Design Azure landing zones, management groups, and subscription models at enterprise scale.

Define standardized Azure platform services for compute, containers, networking, identity, data, and security.

Ensure architectures support scalability, resilience, compliance, and regulatory requirements.

Cloud Migration & Application Modernization

Lead enterprise Azure migration programs, including application and infrastructure assessments, dependency mapping, and workload prioritization.

Define and govern migration strategies (rehost, replatform, refactor, rearchitect, retire) aligned to business value.

Guide modernization of legacy workloads into cloud-native Azure architectures, including microservices, containers, and PaaS services.

Promote adoption of DevOps, CI/CD, and Infrastructure as Code to enable consistent and governed Azure delivery.

Security, Governance & Operating Model

Define Azure security architecture, including identity (Entra ID), network security, data protection, and threat management.

Establish Azure governance frameworks using Policy, Management Groups, Blueprints, and cost management.

Design target Cloud Operating Models, including platform teams, DevOps integration, and FinOps practices.

Ensure alignment with compliance, risk, and enterprise security requirements.

Delivery Oversight & Architectural Governance

Provide architectural leadership and assurance across delivery programs, ensuring alignment with enterprise Azure standards.

Lead architecture review boards, design authorities, and technical governance forums.

Partner with delivery teams to manage architectural risk, technical debt, and complexity.

Mentor solution architects, cloud engineers, and technical leaders across Azure engagements.

Client Advisory & Practice Contribution

Act as a trusted Azure enterprise advisor to senior client stakeholders.

Lead executive workshops on Azure strategy, cloud adoption, and modernization roadmaps.

Support pre-sales activities including solution shaping, RFP responses, and executive presentations.

Contribute to development of reusable Azure enterprise architectures, accelerators, and transformation frameworks.
