Job Description Accountable in defining internal standards – delivers on data policies – that apply to how data is gathered, stored, processed, used, retained, and disposed of (full data life cycle). Data policies should also govern who can have access to what kinds of data. Responsible for collaborative efforts with Internal Security and Data Privacy and ensures compliance.He/She will also drive action within the enterprise to ensure that data is available, usable, consistent and secure, including data issue resolution, necessarily involved in systems and applications implementation, enhancement and migration.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The responsibilities of this position will include but will not be limited to the following:
1. Process
Establish proper data collection procedures, policies, guidelines including data quality controls, testing, cleansing, and standardization
Establish procedures for data security and privacy regulation compliance. This includes defining how data is collected, stored, accessed, shared, and used within the organization (ie Data Governance framework).
Define, track and manage Data Quality KPIs across the enterprise. Implements controls and compliance metrics to reduce data issues and improve data quality
Conduct data profiling and establish data lineages to provide internal customers with feedback and recommendations for improvements in data management
Designs processes and lead initiatives to improve efficiency and increase coverage of data quality to ensure wider use of relevant data by the entire organization.
Responsible in ensuring effective data management throughout the enterprise and detecting effects of poor data quality.
2. Business
Report and escalate to the Data Governance Council data quality issues and/or improvements with corresponding recommendations on how to address/resolve
Collaborate with reporting and operational segments to ensure compliance to data governance policies
Ensure data requirements of the reporting and analytics teams are met and results are used by the business units
Bridging departmental silos to ensure that data is understood, interpreted and utilized uniformly across the organization
Align data governance with strategic business objectives by ensuring that DG policies aligns with the organizations’ goals and scorecard metrics (Core KPIs) and be able to prioritize critical measure including defining SLAs for issue resolutions depending on the significance of impacted stakeholders - customer, revenue, reporting and analytics.
Identify, prioritize and lead Enterprise-wide data cleansing initiatives to deliver substantial improvements in data quality across the enterprise
3. People
Manage and drive teams to run and deliver initiatives designed to resolve data quality issues
Manage stakeholder’s expectations on initiatives started and follow through on benefits realizations
Serve as subject matter expert for data quality assurance. Mentor team members and provide training as needed.

HIRING REQUIREMENTS:
Work Experience
8+ years of experience in working with data management teams
8+ years of solid QA/Testing/Development experience
5+ years of Advanced SQL experience
5+ years of Test Automation experience
5+ years of experience with implementing or managing enterprise-scale data warehouse, MDM, data integration or data management projects
5+ years of experience managing people or leading project teams
Level of Knowledge
Strong Advanced SQL knowledge
Strong Scripting and Test Automation knowledge
Deep understanding of the architecture discipline, processes, concepts, and best practice
Strong understanding of tools (test automation, jira, git, jenkins) and data quality policies and procedures
Meticulous attention to detail with an overall passion for the discipline of Project Management
Understanding of BSS, OSS , IN, and network systems and data structure is a plus
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems or related degree
