Position Overview

Mercy College of Health Sciences, a Catholic institution of higher education rooted in the heritage of the Sisters of Mercy and guided by our core values of Knowledge, Reverence, Integrity, Compassion, and Excellence, is seeking a dynamic and organized professional to lead and manage campus visit and event operations within the Admissions Department.

This role is responsible for supervising the day-to-day operations of student employees, including work-study students and student ambassadors, while overseeing strategic planning and execution of campus events designed to support enrollment growth and enhance the prospective student experience.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and supervise the daily activities of student employees, including work-study students and student ambassadors, ensuring high-quality service and professional representation of the College.Manage and coordinate all campus visit and recruitment events, including individual visits, group tours, open houses, and orientation programs.Maintain inventory and organization of recruitment materials utilized by the entire Admissions Department.Serve as the primary point of contact for external guests and campus visitors, ensuring a welcoming and informative experience aligned with the College’s mission and values.Collaborate with faculty, staff, and administration to schedule participation in campus events and ensure seamless execution.Develop and maintain relationships with secondary school counselors, administrators, and educators to promote group visits and engagement opportunities.Provide regular reporting to the Admissions Department on event metrics, student orientation completion, registration data, and other key performance indicators.Deliver professional and engaging communication across multiple platforms, including phone, email, one-on-one interactions, and large-group presentations.Contribute to strategic planning and continuous improvement initiatives within the Admissions Department.Perform other duties as assigned to support departmental and institutional goals.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, public relations, marketing, event planning, or a related field; or equivalent training and experience.Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and multitasking skills.Willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends as needed.Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage multiple priorities.Experience using CRM software, preferably Slate, preferred.Experience in higher education or student services preferred.Experience supervising staff or student workers preferred.Background in event planning and public speaking preferred.
