Engineering Technician II
The Engineering Technician II is responsible for the ongoing repair and general maintenance of all equipment within the facility. This role ensures high quality service delivery and involves professional interaction with suppliers, customers, and internal teams to complete maintenance tasks efficiently and safely. + Track, update, and manage maintenance activities and part records using a computerized maintenance management system. + Support planning and execution of job plans and preventive maintenance programs. + Install, maintain, test, troubleshoot, and repair industrial equipment to ensure reliable operation. + Lead process improvement initiatives focused on equipment reliability and performance. + Perform preventive maintenance, replace or repair defective components, and conduct system performance testing. + Evaluate instrumentation devices through calibration checks, pressure/temperature verification, and sound diagnostics. + Direct contractors during plant shutdowns and respond to emergencies as needed. + Handle heavy objects, climb ladders, and operate maintenance tools and equipment. + Work in varying environmental conditions, including exposure to noise, dust, and both indoor/outdoor settings. + Coordinate oil and grease replenishment and ensure proper disposal of maintenance waste. + Provide after-hours on-call and on-site support as required. **Must Haves:** + Post-secondary education in General Machining; + 3–5 years of experience in electro-mechanical repairs. + 2+ years experience with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing). **We Value:** + Millwright license (preferred). + Strong knowledge of repair and maintenance processes, equipment, and materials. + Ability to draft reports, proposals, and correspondence for management. + Proficiency in interpreting electrical and mechanical drawings. + Exposure to high voltage environments, hydraulics, and pneumatics. + Effective communication skills with equipment operators and contractors + Certifications in lift carts, forklifts, and skyjack operations. + CPR/First Aid certification. + Strong computer skills and CMMS experience. + Initiative in driving continuous improvement and reliability enhancements. + Ability to work independently and lead contractors during critical operations.
