Engineering Technician II
Work Flexibility: Onsite

Location: 1941 Stryker Way, Portage, MI

Shift: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, flexibile

Summary:

The Engineering Technician constructs, assembles, and repairs equipment and/or prototype products. Using Additive manufacturing and Subtractive manufacturing techniques, you will create and modify prototype products for New Product Development.

What You Will Do:

Build experimental apparatus, instrumentation, or systems of moderate complexity.Construct and inspect components and subassemblies of experimental equipment or prototype models.Work from engineering schematics, technical drawings, and/or verbal instructions.Coordinate with senior/staff technicians or direct manager to prioritize tasks and scheduling.Submit periodic progress reports to supervisor on assigned projects.Adhere to documentation and procedural compliance standards.

What You Need:

High School Diploma2+ years related machining, manufacturing, and technical experienceAbility to operate small hand tools (e.g. pliers, screwdrivers, hammer, wrenches, etc.), power tools and common test equipment (e.g. data loggers, strip recorders, micrometers, etc.)Ability to exert up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 lbs. of force frequently
