Engineering Technician
Job Title: Engineering TechnicianJob Description

This role involves assisting in maintaining equipment documentation and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. The Engineering Technician supports the engineering maintenance team by ensuring the proper functioning of equipment and responding to ticket requests. Responsibilities also include facilities-related HVAC work and managing key projects as assigned.

ResponsibilitiesMaintain and document equipment to ensure compliance with safety regulations.Support the engineering maintenance team in equipment functionality.Respond to and manage ticket requests.Perform facilities maintenance tasks, including HVAC work.Manage and execute assigned projects autonomously.Perform preventative and corrective maintenance, including tasks involving 120V systems like thermostats and wiring outlets.
Essential SkillsExperience in engineering, troubleshooting, and facilities maintenance.Ability to autonomously manage tasks and projects.Minimum experience with 120V systems for projects and maintenance.
Additional Skills & QualificationsFamiliarity with troubleshooting and basic repair techniques.Certification in HVAC, fluid systems, electrical, or mechanical systems.Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).Knowledge of safety regulations and building codes.Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Work Environment

The role offers a flexible schedule, allowing for later or earlier starts and potential weekday adjustments for weekend work if the schedule permits. It requires 40 hours per week and is active, keeping you on your feet with a dynamic project schedule. Travel involves reporting to Fourier locations, with four buildings approximately two miles apart, and occasionally to the Badger facility near Baraboo, starting from home and returning directly after supporting functions.

This is a Contract position based out of Madison, Wisconsin.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00/hr.
