Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Engineering Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will hold a degree in Civil Engineering or Geology and possess ACI certification. This role involves field and laboratory testing, observation, and inspection of construction materials such as soils, aggregates, concrete, asphalt, and steel. The Engineering Technician will communicate with various project stakeholders regarding site requirements and testing results. Additionally, they will transport material samples for further testing and submit data reports to the Project Manager.
Responsibilities
Perform field and/or laboratory testing, observation, and inspection of construction materials.Communicate with the project manager, engineering technicians, client representatives, and contractor representatives.Transport material samples with identifying documentation to the laboratory.Prepare and submit data and observations in written and digital reports.Maintain and clean equipment, vehicles, and work areas.Assist with scheduling and dispatching technicians to project sites.Adhere to strict safety standards.Provide clear documentation of findings and results.Communicate information to the Project Manager and discuss data accuracy.Submit documentation and communicate results as directed by the Project Manager.Engage in progressively increased roles of training and responsibility.Essential Skills
ACI certification.Experience with construction inspection and materials testing.Familiarity with testing soils, aggregates, concrete, asphalt, and steel.Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $26.00/hr.
