Engineering Technician
**Position Description** Serco has several Hardware Integration contracts with Navy’s Space and Warfare Systems Command producing Consolidated Afloat Network and Enterprise Services (CANES), Automated Digital Network System (ADNS), and various other system equipment racks. The Delivery Orders (DO) are for the sourcing, assembly, factory acceptance testing, and delivery of various production units in accordance with the Production Baseline (PBL). As our new Engineering/Electronics Technician, you will become part of our production team supporting Hardware Integration contracts with Navy’s Space and Warfare Systems Command producing Consolidated Afloat Network and Enterprise Services (CANES), Automated Digital Network System (ADNS), and various other system equipment racks. You will be part of a 30-member team that works closely with the customer and other Serco teams to deliver quality systems and services to NIWC Pacific and Lant. In this role you will: + Build complicated assemblies, perform simple soldering, and build cables. + Assist Lead technician with cable routing of various rack systems. + Apply comprehensive technical knowledge to solve complex problems by interpreting manufacturers' manuals or similar documents. + Work requires familiarity with the interrelationships of circuits and judgment in planning work sequence. + Utilizing proper tools and testing instruments. + Receive technical guidance, as required, from supervisor or higher-level technician, and work is reviewed for compliance with accepted practices. **GET TO KNOW YOUR RECRUITER!** **Qualifications** To be successful in this role, you will have: + A High School Diploma/GED + Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in mechanical assembly of high technical products + Familiarity and experience with electronic assembly from component installation through subassembly and top-level assembly + Skilled in complex mechanical, sub-assembly, rack and chassis assembly + Skilled in building, installation, and replacement of cable assemblies + Familiarity with 5S standards and ISO 9001 + Interpret and work to detailed drawings, assembly work instructions + Read Blueprint diagram schematic Additional desired experience and skills: + Preferred proficiency in surface Mount Technology (SMT) soldering for PCB components Apply today to discover your place in our world!
