Job Description
The role involves critical materials testing and observation services on projects such as roadways, bridges, airports, large commercial developments, and remediation. The position requires performing field and/or laboratory testing, observation, and inspection of construction materials including soils, aggregates, concrete, asphalt, and steel.
Responsibilities
+ Conduct testing, observation, and inspection as directed in accordance with training and specified procedures.
+ Provide clear documentation of findings and results.
+ Perform basic analysis of data to verify accuracy before communication and submission to the Project Manager.
+ Communicate information to the Project Manager and other personnel as directed.
+ Demonstrate experience and proficiency in multiple areas of field testing and inspection or laboratory testing.
+ Train lower-level technicians as needed.
+ Lead activities of other engineering technicians in the laboratory or on larger field projects.
+ Maintain and calibrate equipment.
+ Transport material samples with associated identifying documentation to the laboratory for further testing and analysis.
+ Tabulate, prepare, and submit data and observations in written and digital reports for daily transmittal to the Project Manager.
+ Maintain and clean equipment, vehicles, and work areas.
+ Assist with scheduling and dispatch of technicians to project sites.
+ Adhere to strict safety standards.
+ Drive a vehicle such as a Ford F-150 or equivalent.
Essential Skills
+ Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience or equivalent training and related experience.
+ Experience with laptop computer use and Microsoft Word and Excel.
+ ACI certification in one or more of the following: Concrete Field Testing Technician Grade I, Concrete Strength Testing Technician, nuclear density gauge, RRO, AWS, CWI, ASNT Level II.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Proficiency in engineering framework and moisture testing.
+ Ability to work independently and lead teams effectively.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.75 - $32.00/hr.
